For more than thirty years, I have been buying neckties from a small store on the upper east side of Manhattan. The store is Seigo and it’s run by its namesake Seigo Katsuragawa. In The Manual , I wrote an appreciation about Seigo.
The picture above is a bittersweet memory. My youngest daughter got married at the height of the pandemic. I was unable to travel. So I put on my tuxedo and my Seigo tie and cummerbund and participated via Zoom.
